Prepare supplies.

1. Collect scraps of festive fabric from your larger seasonal projects. Each piece should measure at least 4 ½” x 4 ½” (11.4 x 11.4 cm).

2. For smaller or awkwardly shaped scraps, simply piece them together to create a mini quilt measuring at least 4 ½” x 4 ½” (11.4 x 11.4 cm).

Hint: For each coaster, you will need one “front” and one “back” piece.

Create coasters.

1. Set Circle Cutter to 4½” inches.

2. Cut “front” and “back” fabrics using this measurement setting.

Hint: The Unique Creativ Circle Cutter can easily cut several layers of fabric at once, but if you are cutting pieced fabrics (with multiple layers) cut one at a time.

3. Cut one circle of fusible fleece measuring 4¼” (10.8 x 10.8 cm) and fuse to centre of wrong side of front piece.

4. Stitch fronts and backs with right sides together along edge, leaving a 1” (2.5 cm) gap.

5. Turn right side out, glue opening shut tucking in fabric edges.

Hint: Use clips to keep in place while glue dries.
